Creating Effective Brochures

Brochures are an effective mechanism for providing key information to your target market in a simple, clear and cost effective way.

There are virtually limitless ways in which you can utilise brochures to support the marketing of your business. A couple of these include:
    - Promoting key sales, services, events or prices – this can take the form of a simple DL brochure or card that can be easily and cost effectively distributed through mail outs or letterbox drops.
    - Information brochures – these can take the form of single or double sided A4 sheets which can be displayed in store, and which can provide detailed information on a specific key product or service.

Things to consider when creating brochures for your business marketing:
    - Ensure you have well written content that has been thoroughly checked for spelling and punctuation.
    - Use images – this helps to reinforce your key messages (a picture tells a thousand words) and also helps to make your brochure less text heavy.
    - Have your brochures professionally printed on an appropriate stock. The cheapest paper stock may save you money but it may also take away from the overall message you are trying to convey about the quality of your products and services.
    - If you are creating the brochures to display in your business consider how you will effectively display them before you send them to print. You may find that the method of display you are considering will have an impact on the paper stock you will need to use for printing.
    - Consider using a professional marketing or design business to do the final design and layout for your brochures. This will ensure the end product looks fantastic, and has a professional look and feel.
